ENTRANCE THEME
"Cascabel" - by Chingon
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
The opening riff of "Cascabela" tears through the venue, the CU:LT followers jeering, a handful of the Rudo loyalists holding Santo Diablo masks in the air. Javier Cortes steps through the curtain, a black and red robe over his wrestling gear. He takes a knee at the entryway, adjusting his black wrist tape and giving the crowd a quick glance.
Back to his stance, Javier pulls back the hood of his robe to expose neatly styled black hair, parted to the left. He talks the walk to the ring, acknowledging a few supportive fans with fist bumps, while offering a smile to those less appreciative. Taking a seat on the apron, he rolls under the bottom rope and heads to his corner, slipping out of his robe and passing it to the ring attendant. His ring gear is the same black and red in vinyl, flames and demonic faces embossed into the design. He offers the referee a supportive pat on the back, as he waits for the opening bell.
WRESTLING STYLE
Technical Brawler with Luchador sprinkles.
STRENGTHS
Experience - Javier has years of wrestling under his belt, belonging to a wrestling family and learning the craft since he was able to climb into the ring.
Anti-Lucha - Having trained predominantly against wrestlers using Lucha Libre as their primary style, Javier is especially good at countering luchadors and other high-fliers.
Deceptively Tough - Javier leans into his seemingly harmless disposition in hopes of distracting people from his actual in-ring toughness. Both emotionally and physically, he can take a beating.
WEAKNESSES
Temper - Has a temper when pressed under certain circumstances, and said temper can lead to sloppiness.
Age - Javi's no spring chicken, and while he does benefit from experience, his body is past its physical prime. While he has no major nagging injuries, he does have years of wear and tear from competing.
Lack of Deathmatch Experience - Signing with CU:LT is a means to challenge himself, but otherwise Javier's resume has a notable lack of deathmatches. In those, he's out of his element.

BIOGRAPHY
Javier grew up in Oaxaca, the product of a famous wrestling family, and was subsequently crushed under the weight of those expectations. Relocating to the United States as a teenager, he's since eked out a career for himself winning minor championships in minor promotions. To date, his greatest career achievement is fathering a world champion. Now he's having a midlife crisis.
