Trash Wrestling Fallout --- Aug 8, 2022
The landscape of Combat Unlimited:Lethal Trials has shifted with three titles changing hands at Trash Wrestling for Garbage Humans.
Donnie Hopkins starts his second run on top as he was able to beat Jane Doe to finally recapture the New World Championship. He strapped Jane into an electric chair and shot electricity through her -- shortly after the lights went out and Jane Doe has been no where to be found. We have confirmed though she will be at Summer of Slam to take on Chester Roosevelt of Three Ring Barney.
Hopkins will now have to direct his attention to Lissie Hope who was able to beat Chris Page in an I Quit Match in their first official meeting. Now Hope will go one on one with Hopkins for the championship at Summer of Slam.
Speaking of Page and Hope, oddly Craig Cogan and Charli Crawford of the newly formed Team Buddy Back Pose were able to do what they couldn’t -- beat Three Ring Barney for the Double Homicide Championships. The longest running champions in CU:LT’s short history were defeated in a ladder match at Trash Wrestling. Now as Three Ring Barney regroups for an eventual rematch for the straps -- Team Buddy Back Pose will have to contend with Johnny B and Jonny C at Summer of Slam in a Glass Tables Match -- not an easy first defense.
Replay footage from the Cannabis Cup was shown at Trash Wrestling which highlighted Noah Ortega’s win over Shogun Kaiser for the Classic Championship. Shogun held the title for just under a month -- many assumed he would walk through Noah but he had other plans by proving he is one of the best young technical wrestlers going today. Shogun has opted to take part in the upcoming FIGHT Championship tournament leaving Noah to attempt to defend his title against Legion at the upcoming show. Legion is on a two match win streak and knocked former New World Champion contender Jaka out of her shoes at the last show with a closeline what was one of the quickest matches in company history.
JD Driftwood was the only champion able to defend his title at Trash Wrestling… and he barely made it out alive. In the Dumpster Fire Match the 300 pound Holden Ross lit himself on fire and soared through the air with a moonsault in an attempt to end Driftwood’s run. However Driftwood managed to move out of the way, sending the big man to his firefly demise. Now Driftwood is set to clash with Justin York for the second time in an Exploding Barbedwire Deathmatch.
