"I lost." The backroom of the bar Iggy is currently occupying is in a haze of smoke. Tucked between teeth and lips is a joint, smoke spilling from her lips as she blows it out in a cloud above her head. She's leaned back on the couch, arms stretched out along the back of it as she makes herself nice and comfortable. There's fireball in a half empty (or half full) glass on the table to her right. Her feet are kicked back onto the ottoman just ahead of her, long legs stretching out as she lets out a gentle sigh. "I ain't afraid to admit it either. Lissie Hope proved herself to be not just one tough chick, but she backed up every single word she said... But, so did I, even if the outcome wasn't one I liked."
Iggy picks up her drink, downing the rest of the contents before she lifts the empty cup into the air. One of the bartenders comes around to collect it, only to refill it and set it back onto the table. "I gotta give credit where it's due and I ain't all high and mighty like Jaka is. I give respect once it's been earned and Lissie Hope damn sure earned my respect during our last encounter. But, I sure hope it isn't the only time we'll be seein' each other. I owe her a nice ass whoopin' the next time we're in the ring together."
A gentle little playful smirk crosses olive lips as Iggy takes a drag from the joint, she flicks some ashes into the nearby ashtray as more smoke clouds billow above her head. Iggy's not the type to let a loss hang over her head, that much is evident from her demeanor as she sits up a bit. She stubs out the joint carefully, tucking the remains of it behind her ear only after it's been cooled down enough.
"Now, 'nough about dwellin' on the past. It's time to focus on the task at hand and that's dealin' with Jaka. Someone I consider to be more like family than a mere friend. Don't get me wrong, I know what Jaka's all about and I know she thinks that because these are her rules that I'm going into all of this like a chicken with its head cut off."
Iggy pauses, licking over her lips as she picks up her glass. She tosses back half of the drink before setting it down again, giving herself a moment to collect her thoughts. "But, I've never been one to back down from a challenge and I damn sure wasn't going to back down from this one. Let's just call it... friendly competition."
Hands slide up her thighs to rest on her knees, one leg bouncing slightly as she tries to reign in the sudden anxiety she's feeling. But, she closes her eyes and takes in one big deep breath before slowly exhaling. Her gaze slowly comes back into view, though she's got a bit of a serene look on her face. "I like what you said about this match, what was it you called it?" Iggy snaps her fingers a moment later, the words coming right to her head.
"Ah, right. A Nigerian Blockbuster, 'cause that's exactly what it is. I know you think that this is gonna be an easy win for you since you're the one who's makin' the rules. But, you should already know I'm not gonna make this shit easy for you. Hell, I want to win this just as bad if not more than you do. We both got losses hangin' over our heads, yours more heavily than mine. But, I didn't come here to stack L's. I came here to stack dubs, Ja'."
"You're family, Ja' and I respect you, but that respect don't mean I'm holdin' my punches either. We both know what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to make this thing official. When the oh so gracious CU:LT leaders decided to throw us into the fuckin' fire. We knew that no matter what they chose to give us, we were goin' to go big or go the fuck home and this is no mere walk in the ballpark." Iggy downs the rest of her drink, leaving the empty glass on the table, though waving off a refill as she doesn't lose her focus for even a second. "You talk a big game, but we all know you come up a little short in your endeavors around here. I ain't no Lissie Hope, but I'm the next best thing that's for damn sure."
Iggy grimaces slightly, gaze drifting towards the empty space ahead of her. She's lost in her own thoughts, though she seems to pull herself back to focus a moment later. "Anyway, like I was sayin'. I got a lot on my plate and I'm not about to let that shit distract me from pickin' up a dub that I need more than anything. I want you to bring that full heat and no stops because it'll make me really see how much you want this. It'll show me that all that shit talkin' you seem to get yourself caught up in ain't all for nothin' and that's the kinda shit that I want outta you, Ja'." Iggy leans forward, elbows on her knees as she shakes her head a bit.
"I know how bad you want what I have." Iggy makes a point to pick up the Prestige Championship that had since been resting beside her on the couch. It's slung over her shoulder, something carried with pride as she taps the faceplate of the championship that she had earned mere months ago. A little grin crosses her lips as she stares right at the camera. "But, that's somethin' you'll have to work that much harder for... and hey. Let's make a fun little deal here, because I know you love to make wagers." Iggy inhales a gentle breath, sitting up a bit straighter with her gold on her shoulder.
"You come at me with everything you got and win or lose? I'll give you exactly what you want." Iggy pauses, one hand absentmindedly moving to the leather strap of the championship. "This ain't gonna be easy for you or for me. But, that's the whole damn point. I don't want this shit to be easy and I ain't expecting you to make this easy. We might not be the main event, but we'll make sure we got everybody's fuckin' attention one way or another." Iggy pauses just briefly. "Cause that's just how we fuckin' roll." She grins, tilting her chin up slightly as she stands to her feet and walks out of the frame of view. Darkness slowly filling the scene a few moments later.
