Alright here is how this works. Since we are still quite a way from the PPV at the end of March I thought I would set up this thread so people could replay with any vignettes, shot interviews, or little promos hyping your character and the upcoming Manson Family Values show. Don't feel like you have to be currently booked to reply. If I see you reply I will book you right away if you are new to the roster.
I may also post promos and prompts here about CU:LT's backstory.
Following this, maybe two weeks out from the show I will post another thread which will be kind of a open mic preshow style.
This is completely up to you if this is used, no pressure, does not count toward RP scores for shows.

“Boot Fuckin’” Bill Foote sits down with CU:LT interviewer Karl Childers Karl Childers straightens the collar of his blue suit and clears his throat taking a seat on one side of a black clothed table. Childers smiles at the camera and introduces his guest. Karl: I am here with an indy wrestling legend, a man who has had the entire industry, unbeknownst to come under his thumb, or should I say toe! Ladies and gentlemen my special guest this evening is none other than one of the voices of CU:LT “Boot Fucking’” Bill Foote. Foote: It’s Fuckin, Boot Fuckin’ nice to meet ya boy. Bill slaps the shoulder of Karl rocking the little blonde boy’s body back and forth before proceeding to the otherside of the table and sitting. Karl: So tell me Bill, what made you want to come to CU:LT and be part of this movement in professional wrestling? Foote: Well let me tell ya, I’ve been watchin’ and so many have gone soft. I can’t stand it and I’m here to speak for the old school of this sport kid. They don’t make men like me no more, that's what this is all about. I mean look in the mirror, scrawny neck, barely a spine, ya look like ya eat too much soy and not enough of the red meat. Karl: Okay. What style of wrestling are you hoping to see? Foote: I like hard hittin’, I like them chops, those hard suplexes and slams, a nice big ol boot of course - but a good ol boy like me doesn’t mind a good death match. I am excited for the SNUFF Championship match the most at this PPV we got some mean sons-a-bitches in that one. Holden Ross isn’t worried about gettin’ one bit messy, Wendigo is a literal monster, and Hunter and Max have a history together you have to wonder if they are going to take out Ross and Wendigo and duke it out. The idea of them having to fill up a pint of blood, that’s just what CU:LT is about for me… generation after generation of undervalued wrestler giving pounds upon pounds of flesh and a Manson Family Values we try and put that idea on display. Karl nods his head surprisingly at a rare intelligent comment at the tail end of Foote’s rant. Karl: Anything else you are excited about at this upcoming card? Foote: Well let me tell ya, JD Driftwood is a god damn savage and I can’t wait to see him tear poor Owen’s ass up for the CU:LT Classic strap. I just can’t wait to see some old school wrasslin like I used to do, no frills, just hard hits and stiff slams. That’s what I used to do out there.. And I miss the idea of humblin’ other grown men to be honest with you. Karl: Now you had long long winning streaks in your career with that signature discus big boot of yours, do you see anyone else on the roster who holds that hard hitting potential? Foote: To be honest with you I am not quite sure yet. We are goin’ to have to wait for Manson Family Values on March 29th and see what this roster has. We just signed a tiny arse Ace Sky I tell ya I’m not abig fan of them leapy fucks, we could use a few more monsters on the roster, but we are growing, we will attract them. Foote slaps the table starling Karl and leans toward the camera. Foote: I tell ya one thing young buck, if one of these guys step past the line… I can still get this size 13 above my old hips and show em the biggest heel in this game is at the bottom of my boot. Foote glares at the camera before breaking the silence with a laugh. Karl smirk before signing off. Karl: Well there he is “Boot Fucking” Bill Foote… one half of the commentary team here at Combat Unlimited Lethal Trials. Foote: Boy I’m not gonna tell ya again it’s Fuckin’. Karl: Pre-order Manson Family Values, CU:LT’s debut event on March 29th.

Post by Donnie Hopkins on Feb 15, 2022 6:32:27 GMT
Donnie couldn't sleep. He laid in bed wide awake, his head full of thoughts that he could not make disappear. The sound of the fan played monotonously, like a symphony warming up to play its masterpiece. The full moon penetrated through the large windows in his room, illuminating the inhabitants and everything inside. Donnie followed the contours of his girlfriend's body as she laid peacefully on her said, facing away from him. He loved Val. He accepted his stubbornness in ways he never knew someone could. His eyes traveled from her head down to her waist, he watched her almost every night as she slept. The thoughts wouldn't go away. He's memorized every peak and every valley of her body.
He was scared.
He watched her sleep every night, in fear that there will be one night he wouldn't remember his girlfriend's shape. There will be a time when Donnie will look across the bed and not recognize who he was laying next to. He'll forget her body, her face, her name. He's afraid that one day, in the future, he will wake up, look across the bed, and see nothing but a monster beside him. He was afraid that he will use the pillows that caressed his girlfriend's head and place it over her face, pushing down until there was no struggle.
He sat up from his bed. The thoughts crept up again. He placed his hands over his face, pushing into his eye sockets. He still felt the pain from the left side of his face, an injury he received a long time ago in the ring when a move by an inexperienced luchador went sideways. The pain took over as the thoughts faded back into his mind.
He looked at his phone. He knew he shouldn't, but he did. Without a second thought, he picked it up and walked out of his room. He looked back at Val, her body, lifeless. He walked down the hall into the separate room in their house. He sat at the chair and looked through his phone. He saw the name he was looking for, took a deep sigh, and put the phone against his ear.
"Donnie? It's late."
"Ye-Yeah, Jenn. I know. I'm sorry."
The voice of his ex-wife, Jenn, was easy to distinguish. Her raspy voice seemed raspier considering the time difference from New York to LA. He wasn't sure what he was doing. There was no reason to have called her. He knew her husband was probably around, but for some reason, he didn't care. Donnie stared down at the carpet, trying hard to focus.
"Is Val okay?"
"Yeah, she is. She's asleep in the other room."
He paused.
"Look, I'm sorry I called. I honestly don't know why. I know it's early for you and... I don't know why I called."
"Donnie, is everything okay?"
He remembered the day she left him. She was fed up. She was tired of watching her husband, night after night, destroy his body. He destroyed his body wrestling for thousands while on TV and wrestling for hundreds out of it. Night after night, Jenn would watch as her husband laid in a cold sweat, unable to tell if he's sleeping or unconscious. Jenn would violently shake him when he laid unresponsive after a big match. He watched as he wrestled, literally wrestled, his life away for the love of the business, a business she ended up hating.
She saw how bitter and angry Donnie got, and despite pleading for him to get checked, he continued on. He continued to wrestle at a high level for so long and despite the accomplishments, albeit few and far between, the damage to his body was irreversible. Not only that but with Donnie refusing to meet with a neurologist, there was absolutely no telling how mentally damaged Donnie was. She simply couldn't take it anymore. She simply couldn't watch another loved one go down this path again.
"I'm sorry, Jenn. I don't know why I called. I'm sorry. Send my regards to you know who.."

I didn’t want to do this yet.
I have a few years left in the ring before I plan on retiring to give a new stage to the wrestlers -- fighters -- warriors laid by the wayside while nepotism takes full force in the industry. Second generation star, after second generation star kissing ass to see who get ahead first -- second generation killers don’t have a place carved out just yet, but I guess fate has a way of pushing us directions we aren’t quite ready to go.
The elevator fell slowly -- felt like forever -- swear I passed what was supposed to the basement level of the old business building in downtown New York. When it stopped it opened to a large hallway lined by brick, steel doors at the end.
The elite are always so pretentious with this shit, so over the top with what they do like it’s an episode of Squid Game. I was surprised the doors weren’t gold. I whistled my way down the highway, hoping they could hear my “I don’t give a fuck” melody.
I push the door open and there they are all seated at an elevated table like I was on tribunal, like they were the judges determining my execution. Three people, two men in animal masks and one woman as far as I could tell. She wore an Elephant mask, tusks and all hanging from her face -- to her left in the middle was an Eagle -- and on the right was a man with a horse mask -- nostrils pierced in the middle like a bull.
This is your first meeting with The Board Mr. English. We have filled a pile of cash into the CU:LT account -- have you been able to secure some sacrifices?,” The Eagle asked me, his beak pointing in my direction.
That’s what they called wrestlers -- sacrifices -- those who would gain scars when the sinners in the crowd dance and smile. I nodded my head.
“I have been able to secure some of the top prospects in the industry, overlooked legends and those hungry to prove themselves. We just signed Iggy Deluna and Gideon Cross, we have added Legion vs The Nightmare to the PPV. All things are shaping it quite honestly better than expected,” I said.
“You understand failure here is not an option. We have invested in this venture and we expect a massive return within the year. We need a place to wash some investments,” the man under the horse mask said.
“You will be collecting the blood we need for our ritual?” asked The Elephant.
“Yes,” I said, smirking. “I added a match at Manson Family Values, four competitors will try to draw a pint of blood from one another and the spoils are all yours.”
“Excellent,” the Elephant says, leaning back slightly in her padded leather office chair.
“We have a list of names you have to push checks through by the end of show on March 29th, it’ll show you made a profit on the first show and draw investors and at the same time allow us to term some of our assets liquid,” The Eagle said -- corporate talk always went hand and hand with cult talk if you ask me.
I put a cigarette between my lips, pull a lighter and ignite it.
“Oh sorry, is this non smoking,” I said laughing a bit. “I was under the impression you all make the rules around here.”
I knock ash off my cigarette onto the ground and pace a little looking each person through the holes in their makes -- assigning them some sort of humanity in my mind.
“So, what if I don’t deliver. This group has already taken my girlfriend, my mothers gone, this industry doesn't give me the respect I deserve. What If I decide to say fuck you and I walk away right now, burn this whole thing to the ground before you three turn it into a dumpster fire anyway.”
“Don’t lie to yourself Mr. English,” The Eagle leans forward and I can tell it’s Special Agent Hancock who got me into this whole mess… all because his daddy detective didn’t know when to stop being a fucking hero.
“I know you want this more than anything, it was why it was so easy to get you into the arrangement. You want a turn at spinning the cogs, at giving these people a chance. The people like you -- evil -- scum of the earth. You all have an outlet now, you all have a prison that feels free -- a place to bind torture and kill. You should be thanking me, I’ve given you the tools to see what freedom for people like you actually feels like. We’ll put you in a little glass bod and society will look -- in shock -- in awe at the violence you prompt and create… we all know they’ll judge but lap up every bit of crimson which spills on that mat.”
The Eagle loosened his fist following his little rant. I took two sharp puffs off my cigarette and walked toward the towing table in front of me.
“You have to be careful running an asylum,” I said, letting my cigarette hit the ground, smoke still trailing. “There are always a lot more inmates than there are guards. And the group I’ve collected aren’t big on authority.
I stop on my cigarette and walk toward the door. I could feel the eyes of The Board on my the whole time -- watching -- I felt that a lot lately -- paranoia.

Post by Ace Sky vignette: on Feb 18, 2022 21:13:47 GMT
William Shatner voice over: In the ring Ace Sky is a versatile virtuosic veteran.
An intricate iconoclast: A tenacious technician, savage sensei of a striker and A plus aerialist. A dynamic dynamo
Ace Sky: I spent many years being overly humble, that was not good, that is not being honest. I do believe I am unequivocally the best.
I just don't believe at all that I was just born with these two gifts, hit the genetic jackpot. I was not. I was born intellectually advanced but even with that I am skeptical, I feel like my interests just matched up with what was accepted as a genius level. I was fascinated by science, astronomy, to learn that you have to be skilled in math and science, even linguistics too. That's how it was with wrestling, I desired to be a high-flyer, I consider myself the best high-flyer but I am at an elite level as a striker, a martial artist and pure grappler too. Same with the math and science.
The thing with high-flying wrestling is there are just separate styles, in spirit I take lots of influence from the hardcore highflying style Though in execution I am more on the combining of Japanese super junior style and Lucha Libre.

Karl Childers sits across the table from one half of the announce team debuting on Manson Family Values -- Stacy Sting. Stacy was dressed in a business suit and sat straight in her chair -- feeling awkward she wasn’t the one doing the interviewing.Karl: I am here with Stacy Sting, the other half of CU:LT’s announce team alongside Bill Foote. Stacy, this is your first gig with an actual wrestling company, can you tell the fans and I what you are going to bring to the table? Sting: Well as you are probably well aware of Karl I have worked on various successful political campaigns, but a little known fact about me is that I am a huge wrestling fan. My father and I used to watch wrestling every week and I always wanted to work in the industry, help produce a show, do some announcing and add to that magic before he passed and I am so glad to get the chance to do so at CU:LT. Karl: So what this company, why now? Stacy takes a sip from the class of water placed in front of her before answering.Sting: There is such a divide in the world and it might sound crazy but I firmly believe professional wrestling and combat sports bring people together. Not only fans in the audience, but after doing battle with someone who has some differences than you… well you just can’t bleed with someone else and not gain a little respect in my books Karl. Stacy fixes her hair and straightens her back after leaning a little forward to answer the question.Karl: We’ve had some huge signings recently… I know we have some major matches just announced for Manson Family Values, but is there anything else you’d like to see going forward. Sting: I don’t want to overshadow any matches on this card, Deluna vs Hope was just announced as well as Legion vs The Nightmare. I have seen some shit talking online between Jaka and Hope, I’d love to see that one, but speaking of Jaka she has caused quite the buzz on social media and I hear Deluna vs Jaka is being set for Jonestown Reunion in April. Another match I would love to see is Cross vs Gonsalves. It’s just so fun to think of these future matchups ahead of Manson Family Values when championship implications could be added to these scenarios. Karl: The roster is full of main event caliber talents that is for sure. What match are you most excited about? Sting: Three Ring Barney vs The Influence is a bout I feel that is being overlooked, you have some of the best teams in the business today squaring off and not just in any match but a barbed wire steel cage match where the only option is to escape -- something teams will have to try to do together so they don’t leave another member behind to be slaughtered. You add the fact Three Ring Barney is able to put any two members in this match… it adds a lot of elements of surprise against a seasoned tag like The Influence. It’s just a toss up to me who might win this one. Karl: Last question, you and Bill Foote seem to be from two different walks of life, you seem to have differing opinions. How is that going to work out at the commentary table? Sting: Like I said earlier Karl, wrestling brings people together. I am sure we will have some differing opinions one what happens between the ropes, what is ethical in a match, but that’s what will give this company a more authentic feel. I’m more than willing to have difficult conversations with Foote. Stacy extends a hand for Karl to shake, she then stands up, fixes her blouse and walks off camera. Karl: That was Stacy Sting, one of the voices of Combat Unlimited Lethal Trials. Tune on March 29th when we have our debut show Manson Family Values.
