Surrounded by enemies who will do whatever they can to rip this opportunity from my hands, I stand, the inaugural television champion of CU: LT. I understand no friends in this business, and respect must be taken. But I'm done trusting people who think they can belittle me and extending a welcoming hand to others who do not deserve to be in the ring with me!
UNAPOLOGETIC.
The struggles of walking the path of a professional wrestler leave one to ponder every decision made to advance their career. Serenity's recent fall from the grace of the new world has opened the door to spearheading CU: LT's new television series after being granted the television championship; It's been months since she's been without a title in promotion, making her one of the fastest rising stars in the business. However, her personal life has been in a spiral of confusion. The recent social media tirade between her, Alice Gemini and Lissie Hope have left her understanding the business has no friends."Serenity, can we just talk?"
"No!"
Her walk down the local park near her hotel in Granby, Colorado, clearly indicated she didn't want to be bothered by an old training partner of hers, Jake. Serenity had no intention of speaking with the man responsible for her harsh environment by being bullied by his fiance, Amber, during their years of training under her father at her former academy in Houston. Nevertheless, Jake followed behind her, doing his best to grab her attention until he spun her around, determined to get her to listen.
"What?!"
"I'm sorry!"
Serenity folded her arms across her chest and stared at Jake, frantically worried about the situation. Then, she removed a piece of her behind her left shoulder and dug her hands into the front pockets of her black leather jacket.
"I don't need your apology. What you did to me at UPRISING was enough. I don't need anyone patronizing me at the moment. I don't need you, Alice, Lissie, or apologizing because they feel some way after hurting me. So do me a favor and fuck off!"
She tugged her arm away from his grasp and turned around on her walk to the park exit. Jake shook his head and went after her, grabbing her arm until she spun around and punched him in the nose, flooring him down to the ground. Passersby were concerned about the public attack, and Serenity stood over him, pointing her finger down, posing an intimidating threat.
"If you ever touch me again, I will put you in the hospital. So stay the fuck away from me!"
He nodded quickly and backed away while she left him alone for others to help assist him. Serenity fluffed her jacket and left the park on a war path back to her hotel only a few blocks down. However, her mind was potent on defending the television championship, especially against a man she didn't respect. Serenity's anger from her life would be his downfall.
CHANNEL.
There's a small room with only a wooden chair in the middle, the CU: LT television championship belt resting on the chair, and an old television set facing the objects. The sound of footsteps echoes across the room until Serenity comes in walking with a remote in her hands. She takes the championship belt in her grasp and sits down on the chair, crossing her right leg over the other, then points the remote to the TV and turns it on to a static channel."Ace Sky. CU: LT's resident pathetic wrestler who has no significant wins in the promotion but gets booked because of his childlike smile and appeal to the audience. Now, here we are for the debut of CU: LT TV in the main event spearheaded by the inaugural television champion, Serenity Holmes. I understand, Ace, that you're excited, happy, and somewhat hopeful you will take this opportunity and make the best of it, but I'm here to tell you your excitement is misplaced."
"I don't care about you, Ace, or anyone else in this company. The locker room laughs at you behind your back, but I don't. I pity you because you're in a company way out of your depth. Do you honestly believe anyone would expect you to beat me on a show created just for me?"
"I stepped into this company and proved I can be the NEW World Champion. In less than six months, I own the first television series as the inaugural television champion. What have you done?!"
She skips through the channels showcasing Ace's subpar performances in the promotion, especially losing against JJ Slayer. Serenity shakes her head at Ace's exceptional physical talent, but the lack of killer intuition by e flips her hair over her right shoulder and holds the belt on her lap.
"You have heart, Ace. You have talent and are likable, but you're not a competitor. I know you went through some significant challenges growing up, but so has everyone else in this company. There's nothing about you that makes you stand out. You're just another professional wrestler trying their best to win that one victory that will make them break out, but you haven't struck fire!"
"You don't have killer instinct, and you don't have the guts to pull the trigger. Do you want to tell people your story? Go ahead. Tell the world how you received participation trophies instead of winning the big one in CU: LT. Tell them how you had the ultimate opportunity to pioneer a new series and blew it."
She held the remote up to her chin and smiled.
"Ace. Believe me when I say you won't survive me. This will be the last time we see you in CU: LT. There are no severance packages or compensations; it'll end your pathetic career. I don't need anyone to tell me what to do. I don't need your respect or your veteran advice."
"The world is in my hands now, and as for you, your show is over."
